Simple branch trimming is not difficult. You can easily do the job yourself. Be certain that you have the necessary equipment. You will need sturdy boots, gloves, and eye protection. Head protection is also a very good idea. You can get a black helmet. Any color will do. However, black can look menacing. This may prevent young children from entering your work area. Everyone will be safe.
Always check out the situation before you start trimming. Can you work from ground level? This is always the safest way to trim. You have less probability of complications.
There are tree trimmers called pole saws. They can make your work much easier. You can get manual, electric, and gasoline powered units. Manual pole saws work well for smaller branches. For larger ones, electric pole saws work well. If there is no power source near, you may need a gasoline pole saw.

Gasoline pole saws are one unit. They work well for heavy duty jobs. They are considerably more expensive than the electric ones. You will also have to mix oil and gasoline for fuel.
